I'm Elizabeth, but feel free to call me Beth. I love LeBron James, true crime and Mi Goreng (it's Indonesian stir fried ramen - highly recommend). 

 

I am a senior journalism major with a marketing minor at Loyola University Chicago. I moved from a small suburb outside of Cleveland, Ohio to Chicago three years ago, and while I miss Swenson's (my absolute favorite restaurant in Akron, OH -- you need a Salad Boy), I will never go without a Sephora and Eloquii within walking distance of my home. I knew I wanted to be a journalist when I first started watching E! News in third grade. Although my aspirations have shifted a little bit, I am still absolutely enamored with women's lifestyle media. I believe there is an important shift happening in the world of fashion and beauty right now, and I am excited to delve further into the ways politics and culture can coexist. 

 

Apart from being a journalism student, I am a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, a Desk Manager with the Department of Residence Life and a member of The Women's Project, a co-op program with the Women's and Gender Studies Department that focuses on education of feminist issues partnered with volunteering and action in Chicago.

 

Being super involved on campus definitely makes my free time precious and much needed. I love shopping (Riley Rose is an underrated makeup haven, but I also can never get enough of Target), catching up on TV (Atlanta, It's Always Sunny, SVU and The Handmaid's Tale are the usual) and finding new cafes and restaurants to do work in.
